My apologies for being “sick” Monday and thus no post. So I am a day late on my usual Monday funk post.
Today we are kicking it old school and throwing it back to a little Soul Train. My sister and I would turn on Don Cornelius and the gang on Saturday mornings and dance in our Soul Train “dancer” outfits (aka knee-high socks, short-shorts or undies and tank tops) while my mom was cleaning the house. I’m sure we were the only kids in SoDak watching people grind on Soul Train on a Saturday morning instead of watching cartoons. At least my mom could talk us into dusting the TV room while we were dancing.
Our favorite part was the famous “line” where each person/couple would have to dance down the line solo while everyone watched. Here is a line clip from the 70s. Try to watch this and not start to move a little in your chair. It’s not easy.
