It’s election day. Please vote. Be thankful that you live in a country that allows you to VOTE to have your voice heard.

But don’t to it because I said so. Do it for people like my friend and Marine John Pinsonnault who died in the Iraq’s Green Zone, my cousin Meredith and her husband Andrew who served in the National Guard in the Middle East, my Marine friend Major Mike McNamara who is fighting now in Afghanistan, my uncle Clayton who is just back from Iraq, my high school classmate Justin Pederson who is currently in the Army in Afghanistan, my friend David Dodds who is just back from serving in the Guard there, my friend Woody’s dad who served in Vietnam, and all of the people who join our community from the United States Air Force.

But more for all of the older vets who don’t have someone to recognize their service. If you see them at the grocery store or the post office, take a second to tell them thank you. They can’t hear it enough.

Go vote! Take it, Whitney.
